Washington D.C.

I didn't visit our nation's capital until I was 37. In fact, I visited 30 countries before my own country's capital. Crazy! Anyway, after visiting I became firmly convinced that every American should try to visit D.C. Our nation's history came alive for me in a way that it never had before. The memorial monuments were powerful and moving. I hope all of you go on our 8th grade trip!
