When I was in college I got to spend a semester living in Germany in a teeny tiny town called Zwingenberg on der Bergstrasse. Yep, that's a pretty huge name for such a small town. I enjoyed every minute of my time in Germany and returned several times during the years I lived in Austria. Back to Mrs. Redd's Travels

Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Rothenburg is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe and so charming. I fell in love with the town the first time I went and have been back several times. They have a tour guide who calls himself the Night Watchman who takes you back in time with him as you walk through the streets of the city at dusk. Rothenburg is also the home of the Kathe Wohlfahrt Christmas store that is GIGANTIC and full of traditional German Christmas decor.
