Provence Pictures
Provence got its name because it was the first province in the Roman Empire to be outside of Italy. This area of France is famous for its vineyards, olive groves, and fields of lavender. We visited a lavender museum while we were there, which was really interesting. I had no idea that lavender oils had so many uses! Apparently it's really good for medicinal purposes. We learned all about how they go through the process of planting and harvesting the lavender, as well as collecting the lavender oil and how all the ways they use it. Lavender honey is supposed to be really tasty!!
