Normandy Pictures

Normandy is on the northern coast of France, just across the English Channel from Great Britain. The D-day invasion that turned the tide of World War II happened here. You can visit the beaches where the allied forces landed (you'll see pictures of Omaha beach below) and visit the amazing World War II museum in Caen. The city of Bayeux is in this area as well, which is where the famous Bayeux Tapestry showing the Battle of Hastings can be seen along with a whole lot of other cool Viking stuff.
