Giza Plateau Pictures
How big are the pyramids on the Giza Plateau? HUGE! It was amazing to see them up close and realize just how large each block in the Great Pyramid is and then remember that there are more than 2.3 million of them stacked up! The picture of the guy riding the camel past the pyramid is one of my favorites because it gives an idea of how gigantic the pyramids really are. How in the world did the ancient Egyptians do it? Amazing! Not to mention that the Sphinx has incredibly long paws. For some reason I never really noticed that in pictures before I saw it in person.
