Costa Rica
Mr. Redd and I trotted off to Costa Rica in the summer of 2012. We saw lots of monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas and pizotes (little animals that sort of look like raccoons). It is such a beautiful country!

Hotel & the little town of Brasilito
Our hotel was beautiful! There were all kinds of fun animals like pizotes (sort of like racoons) roaming around and tons of birds. The beach was lovely and the water was a warm 84 degrees...nice!
Monteverde Cloud Forest
We had such a wonderful time in the cloud forest! We went on 19 zip lines, the longest of which was a half a mile!!! Then we walked through the canopy on hanging bridges and marveled at all the different types of trees and vegetation. We also got to visit a hummingbird garden where the birds zipped around so fast that I'm surprised I was able to catch a few in photos. Lastly, we visited a reptile reserve where we learned that Costa Rica has 22 types of poisonous viper snakes and 8 types of poiosnous frogs, most of which are about an inch long!
Palo Verde River Cruise
Look for black howler monkeys, crocodiles, the camoflagued bats, iguanas and the anteater sleeping in the tree!
