Belize

This tiny country in Central America has an amazing variety of plants, trees, animals, and Mayan ruins. We were able to take a boat ride up the Wallace River into the rain forest, where we saw black howler monkeys, crocodiles, bats, and a bunch of different types of birds. (I got to hold a baby crocodile while we were there!) Then we went to some Mayan ruins and got to climb to the top of some ancient pyramids and learn about the interesting religious rituals performed there.
