Vienna Pictures

Vienna is the capital city of Austria, one of the classical  music centers of the world, and home to the United Nations. Vienna started out as an outpost for the Roman Empire called Vindabona, and the emperor, Marcus Aurelius, died near Vienna while trying to protect the empire from the Germanic tribes. The oldest part of the city, called the first district, is a fun place to wander around and marvel at the architecture and fascinating history. In the eight years I lived there, I never got tired of wandering the city streets. Back to Austria Pictures
